Always active — no action required.
Action, Bonus Action and Reaction costs follow Baldur's Gate 3's simplified action economy. Spell descriptions, ranges, components, durations and damage dice are drawn from the official D&D 5th Edition (2014) SRD / Player's Handbook. Weapon Attacks use the standard 2014 weapon damage dice and properties.
Where BG3 deliberately changes a spell's action cost from the tabletop rule, both versions are shown in that spell's tooltip (marked with an amber border) — for example Feather Fall, a Reaction on the tabletop but a Bonus Action in BG3.
Drag any spell or attack onto the loadout bar below (three rows, 36 slots). Clicking a loaded slot does not use it — it opens an editor where you can change the cost, range, damage and description text, add personal notes, and hit Use This when you're ready to actually spend the action. Right‑click a hotbar slot, or drag it out to the trash icon, to clear it instead.
Right-click any card in the catalogue to open that same editor. A small gold dot marks cards you've customized; hover to see the current text in the tooltip. Reset to Official reverts a card's rules text back to the verified 2014/BG3 values without touching your personal notes.
Everything (character, resources, hotbar, edits, notes) saves automatically to this browser. There's no account system — instead use Save to File / Load Save up top to export a real file you control, which you can keep in your own cloud storage and reload on any device or browser.
The Character Sheet section on the left opens the rest of a standard sheet in its own windows — Abilities & Saves, Skills, Background, Features, Inventory, and Equipment — so the main view stays focused on spells. The six ability score boxes above Action Economy are a live summary — each shows its modifier plus a smaller "hit" line (modifier + proficiency bonus, the number you'd add on an attack roll using that ability); click any of them anytime to edit scores and saves. 📜 Full Sheet / Export assembles everything into one printable page; use its Print / Save as PDF button to get a real, standard character sheet out of your browser's print dialog.
Equipment (button under your name) has eight worn/wielded slots — helmet, necklace, chestplate, weapon, legs, two rings, and boots — each with a name and notes. Inventory holds your purse (cp/sp/ep/gp/pp) and any number of carried items with quantity and description.
New Custom Item in the catalogue toolbar lets you build your own spell, attack, or passive trait from scratch — it drags, hovers, and edits exactly like the built-in ones, and saves with everything else. Open one you created to find a Delete Item button in place of Reset. Passives get their own badge icon (a circled star, in bronze) to tell them apart from spells and weapons at a glance — set their cost to "Passive" if they're always active with no trigger, or to Reaction if they're something you use in response to an attack, like the example Agile Parry entry (an illustrative starter, not verified 2014 rules text — edit it freely). Fury of the Small is a real Goblin racial trait, included as verified 2014 content.
Ki Points now have their own resource row next to Pact Magic — set a max and spend them like any other pool. A new 🔥 Short Rest button sits beside New Turn and Long Rest, restoring Ki and Warlock slots (the two pools that recharge on a short rest) without touching HP or standard spell slots. Ki-costing abilities like Flurry of Blows now spend both their action cost and Ki at once, and fail cleanly if either runs out.
Click the Icon & Color swatch inside any item's editor (or the create form) to give it its own medallion — pick from the full existing icon set (every school glyph, sword, bow, the passive star, and the equipment icons) and any of the app's accent colors. Hit "Reset to default" to go back to the automatic school/type icon.
📜 Session Notepad, up top, swaps the spell catalogue for a full page of session notes over an illustrated scene — your character sheet and loadout bar stay put underneath, so you can still glance at HP or click a hotbar item while writing. The date field next to the title is editable, so you can log past or future sessions. It saves as you type; Back to Spellbook returns you to the catalogue.
